My wonderful friend met me for lunch today and had bought me a new burlesque book with hints and tips on how to make amazing pasties and g strings which was a great surprise.
However recently I've wanted more, I want to evolve my acts and come up with one amazing six minute, seductive, jazz accompanied, sparkly glittered costume to within an inch of its life. Yesterday I decided it was time to make this happen! armed with a list a little cash I marched to the rag market on my 30 minute lunch and managed to get:
Emeraldgreen 26" zip
Emerald green satin - 3 meters
emerald green netting - 6 meters
teal and gold trim [gem stones and stitch work] 3 meters
emerald rhinestones - 5 bags
small emerald rhinestones - 3 bags
emerald sequins - 2 bags
teal sequins - 2 bags
light green beads - 1 bag
new dress makers pins
peeptoe, half side satin heels
2 rolls of emerold cotton
and finally today i bought a new pattern! now just to start cutting, stitching, glueing, changing, editing, sewing, fitting, sewing .... and on and on.
I hope this is the start of new things, big things!
I sadly had to turn down a booking with darkteaser for the second time as I was already booked again!! but she's booked me now for september to hopefully debut emerald city!
I've been spending all my sparetime scouting amazing jazz tracks but looks like I'll have to edit two together to get the length of song I'd like.
As far as the burly career goes I've decided my top places I'd love to perform are:
The Candy Box
The Wet Spot
The Pitty Pat Club
The Martini Lounge
Kinky & Quirky
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
The Canary Cage
and of course Madame Jojo's
this does not include how much I'd love to perform in the United States and various venues around Europe.
Aburly girl can dream.
