Such a long break I feel I must appologise so much university work, part time job work and not having a working laptop/internet connection to blame!!
So it's catch up time:
on Thursday the 27th Jan I went to London with the beautiful Miss. Destruction my Hannah Banana. We were heading down to see the Taxedermy exhbition at the Museum of Everything! - I must say it was one of the most amazing exhbitions I've been to in an awfully long time!!
We began our day in Carnby Street heading straight to The Green Man for lunch then off for a little snoop around the vintage shops where I picked up a fabulous turban from Beyond Retro and a tote bag bargain all together £9.10
We then found our way back on the tube on our way to the fabulous mothership known as Vivienne Westwood where we spent quite a while lusting after dresses, shoes and sunglasses! I tried on a necklace and made a luxurious, un needed purchase but it was more than worth it!! its beautiful - one string of perals with a silver diamonte encrusted orb in the centre!!
Finally we found ourself at the Museum of Everything ..... it was quite hard to find but wehen you do its the most amazing expirience ever! you donate a couple of £££ to go in and hand it in at a fairground toll booth...... circus music playing away. You go through the plastic drop which makes you feel as if your in an abatoure and come out in a kitsch 50s style missmatched china tea shop ..... the journey just gets weirder and more awe full i couldnt stop thinking WOW!!
at the end we reached the taxidermy exhbition we'd intentionally come to see, the animals and set up were unbelievable sadly you couldn't take photographs but I don't think the images we do them justice anyway!!
4th February
Hannah drove myself and Sam to The Cats Meow at The Lanes in Bristol which is where I was performing that eve! The drive down was fun and full of silly games and when we got to Bristol we had to drive around for a good 15 minutes in circles trying to park finally giving in to the NCP car park!! damn there high prices!
Getting in to the venue it was fabulous, bowling ally, dance floor, bar and two amazing bands!
I was escorted upstairs to a huge room where all the lovely ladies and myself were changing in preperation for the show!! Sam helped blow up all my balloons :D! and I began to change!
I got to meet the wonderful Moreorlesque, Lady Lolly rouge and Kitty Ribbons!
I was third on and as soon as it was my chance to perform i loved it, the audience were amazing, cheering, whisteling and all the rest! Sam and Hannah stood in the front row the little kittens and aught my gloves and petals!
It was a wonderful night and I couldn't thank Sarah or Madeleine any more!! they were great!! and so were the two stage kittens!! such a fantastic night I can't wait to go back!! I hope!!! if they'll have me!
Some other little bits and bobs I wanted to mention;
I got my lovely christmas gift from hannah which was The Mad Hatter doll that I wanted to complete my Alice in Wonderland collection!!
and I recieved my beautiful hair slides from tiki Tearaway which many many people have asked me about since, the cherries and the cocktail umbrella slides they are beautiful! The way they were presented to was amazing, leopard print tissue paper, a cherry lolly and a little note those ladies sure have style!!
I also recieved some beautiful roses from sammy sam sam :D
I was also in Office having a little shop the other week and a lady was trying on shoes next to me, she asked what I thought of her shoes and I told her they were lovely and I had them in the blue glitter!! She told me that those were the ones she really really wanted but no where had them anymore! after a little bit more of a chat I said she could have mine if they'd fit her :) well she said yes and told me she wanted to give me something in return, and would you believe it shes a burlesque photographer so she said I could have a free shoot :D - and then when I got to the till my shoes were £25 not £58 in the sale as they were labelled and my leopard dress wasn't £40 it was £6.25 bargain!!
The weekend before myself and a friend of mine decided to go to Snobs for a girly night out. On our way in to the club two lovely ladies were coming out and told us to come out for a cigarette with them as the place was dead! Turns out those two lovely ladies were Amy Slatter and the fabulous Model Emily Grieves - they were the loveliest kittens and i met up with them again the following Monday evening for a little drink where I got to meet their friend Kate.
